Sundanzer Solar-Powered Freezer - 8.1 Cubic Ft

Sundanzer SolarPowered Freezer 8.1 Cubic Ft Installed this unit about 2 years ago in southern Michigan so its been through two winters now. My installation is powered by 300 watts of solar panels, which is more than needed but I dont have a good sunny spot in the back yard. Unit is operated at 24 volts using four 6volt golf cart batteries in series that were purchased from Sams Club. A cheap charge controller was bought on eBay. This combination works fine but the freezer does not keep things as cold as a normal freezer. It stays around 15 degrees F, which I monitor with one of those cheap indooroutdoor wireless temperature gauges from ABC Warehouse.
